The main research contents of this project are developing key technology of biorefining for Jerusalem artichoke——a kind of fructose-based plants. Biocatalysis and biotransformation of fructose-based carbohydrate will be the key point of the project: constructing a efficient inulinase expressed engineering strain, optimizing the conditions for low-cost enzyme production, solving the key technology of starch substitute by Jerusalem Artichoke powder, establishing new technics for a series of fructose-based products production; Constructing an efficient “cell factory?which can utilize Jerusalem Artichoke powder for succinate production by modifying key node enzyme genes and regulating metabolic network. Optimizing the process technics of converting inulin to microbial oil or ethanol, implementing clean production technology on microbial oil or ethanol production. Taking fructose biorefining technology and metabolic network regulation of cell factory as core technology of this project, achieving the green process "from genome to product"
