Research contents
Systematic study based on the microbial ecosystem of biogas digester, termite gut and animal rumen; Use of molecular ecology approach to analyze the relationship between microbial community structure and its function in order to obtain a molecular biomarker. Development of the metagenomic research platform to construct functional metagenomic libraries for microbiome from termite gut, animal rumen, the biogas digester and the deep sea sediment.
Anticipated objective
Establishment of metagenomic research platform in order to construct high quality metagenomic library (including Fosmid and BAC functional library) for biogas digester, termite gut animal rumen and deep sea sediment bacterial community; Establishment of high-throughput gene screening platform to screen for cellulase genes and methane producing related genes.
