In this project, we chooses Cordyceps sienesis, the unique rarely and endangered fungus in China, and its single - minded host insect, Hepialus spp. as research material. Multi-disciplinary overlapping and synthesis technique in the different level are used to study their interaction between Cordyceps sienesis and Hepialus spp., Study methods include the ecology geography, morphology, community ecology, population ecology, behavior ecology, reproductive physiology ecology, physiological biochemistry, molecular heredity, the biophysics and so on. We finally reveals the mechanism that C. sinensis infests their host, and get formative mechanism of aweto, and further develope one-to-one rule between Cordyceps sienesis and Hepialus spp.. The results can provide scientific basis for protecting the ecological balance of Qinghai-Tibet Plain, and protecting the headstream environment of Changjiang River, Yellow River and Langcang River, and prompting manual breed of aweto.
